History
The 2025 season picked up right where the previous season left off, with the same bike, class, and team. The goal for the season was to continue developing in the Superbike class, keep pace with the leaders, and also aim to compete in some international races in Europe. And, of course, to compete again in the IRRC series race in Imatra. The season went largely according to plan; of course, there were some challenges along the way, but overall, I made progress and my pace improved steadily. The season ended with a bronze medal in the Finnish Championships, where he competed against rivals who race on international circuits. The result of the Imatra street circuit race was a 3rd-place finish in the Open Superbike class.
In the 2024 season, we continued our successful partnership with Kallio Racing, but this time in the Superbike class. In addition to the Finnish Championship races, we once again took part in the IRRC street circuit race in Imatra. In Imatra, however, the class is Supersport 600. The season in the SM series featured intense competition and technical challenges, though the bike continued to improve as the season drew to a close. The highlight of his first Superbike season was winning the Finnish Championship silver medal. It was easier to head to the Imatra races this year since I already had experience from last year. Two different classes were held in Imatra, resulting in three wins out of four races.
The 2023 season kicked off with a new team as Niko began working with Kallio Racing. There was no doubt about the goals; they set out to score a hat trick. The season also included his first street circuit race, the Imatranajot, where a podium finish capped off the weekend. The season was filled with many successes and learning to work with a new team. The season’s goal of a third Finnish championship in the Superstock 600 class was achieved through consistent and solid performance.
The 2022 season began with the Finnish championship title already in hand and still racing under the RAM Racing Yamaha team colors. The only goal for the season was, of course, to defend the championship. It was an eventful season, but despite everything, the team secured its second consecutive Finnish championship at the end of the season.
The goal for the 2021 season was to pick up where we left off in the 2020 season. In the Superstock 600 class, I continued with the RAM Racing Yamaha team with the goal of winning the Finnish Championship, which I achieved by a clear margin over the runner-up.
In the 2020 season, I moved to the Finnish Superstock 600 Championship with the RAM Racing team on a Yamaha. I really got the hang of riding a big bike and was able to post some really good lap times on different tracks. An unfortunate knee injury that required surgery cut short a season that had started off brilliantly.
In the 2019 season, I moved up to the Supersport 300 class, as my age allowed. The season was full of challenges and setbacks, but through hard work, we achieved a fantastic result. As a result of the series raced during the season, he won silver in the Finnish Championships, gold in the Provincial Championships, gold in the Estonian Championships, and gold in the Nordic Junior Trophy series.
In the 2018 season, I competed in the Spanish PreMoto3 series, where my goal was to finish in the top ten. The goal was achieved right away in the first race in Albacete.
In the 2017 season, the team switched to a 250cc four-stroke Moriwaki. A win right off the bat in the season opener in Jurva! Overall, the season was fantastic, except for a couple of nasty falls. In the end, however, they secured a fantastic bronze medal in the Finnish Moriwaki Cup series.
The 2016 season saw a fierce battle for the Mini GP Finland Cup championship. I secured 17 podium finishes in 18 races this season. We narrowly missed out on the championship and finished third in the Finnish Cup.
In 2014–2015, I competed in the Minimoto Junior B class, and in my second season, I won the series and moved up to the larger Mini GP class.
In 2012, I started racing and quickly got into the rhythm of riding a mini-moto, achieving good results. After winning the Junior A class in the youngest age group of minimoto, I was able to move up to the next class—Minimoto Junior B—a year early.
